13 New Gmail Features To Test
Lifehacker is reporting on 13 new features you can enable in your Gmail account. Start watching tonight for a “Labs” tab in your Gmail settings. In there you’ll find some experimental options you can help Gmail test. Here are a few of the new features:
- Superstars – more ways to flag your emails.
- Quicklinks – if you do regular searches you can save those searches to make it easier to repeat them in the future.
- Take a Break – a link at the top that you click and it forces you to leave email for 14 minutes.
- Random Signature – random rotational signature so you can use multiple quotes if you like.
See the Lifehacker article for some more details or just go to your Gmail account and turn them on to play with them. If you don’t see it, you may just have to wait a little longer as the roll out will take a little while to hit everyone. Sometimes signing out and then back in will bring it up as well.
Personally, I like some of the new signature options and being able to hide the unread counts. Do any of the new options interest you or perhaps does this intrigue some of you non-Gmail using folks?
