It was released to equipment manufacturers on April 21st so that’s how it got into the wild (someone broke a rule). The official release will be available for download and manual update on April 29th and then it’ll come into your Windows XP computer via auto-update starting June 10th. A few security enhancements is about all that’s new, otherwise it’s all the previous updates (since 2004) rolled into one package. Internet Explorer 7 will NOT be included in this service pack.

Once the official version is out, get started on fixing up anĀ Unattended Windows XP installer CD. Makes reinstalling Windows XP so much easier.
