The Iron Giant Revisited

The Iron Giant is one of my favorite movies.  Actually… it is my single favorite movie of all time.

I was recently reminded of it and dusted it off for another watch and found again just how much I enjoy this movie even after multiple viewings.  It has a well rounded cast of voice actors and it is written and directed by Brad Bird (who also directed The Incredibles and Ratatouille for Pixar).

It isn’t about giant robots terrorizing Earth – it’s about friendship and being who you want to be. It is a bit cheesy in some respects because it’s a family film, but it is a story for everyone, and I highly recommend you give it a viewing when you get a chance.

Rent it at Netflix (trailer available here as well)
Rent it at Blockbuster

I definitely have to second that recommendation. This movie never got the showing it deserved and easily matches or tops anything to come out of Disney’s studios.
