Stardust, Bourne Ultimatum and Shoot ‘Em Up
I’m not really going to make it a habit to post movie reviews. I worked in video stores for long enough to know that one person’s Citizen Kane is another person’s Big Trouble in Little China. I’ll tell you this much though… Big Trouble in Little China was rented every weekend.
Either way, I have opinions about movies and sometimes I like to share them. Probably a hold over from those same video store days.
Stardust was a novel written by Neil Gaiman. Good book. The movie, though obviously dissimilar from the book, was a fun “fairy tale” movie to see. It is definitely one worth noting and renting when you want a light, fun movie to watch.
Bourne Ultimatum is much easier to explain. If you like either or both of the first two at all… you’ll like this one just as much if not more. I will dare to say the the Bourne movies are some of the best “Secret Agent” movies I’ve ever seen. Excellent balance of story and action.
I did read the first book Bourne Identity, and the movie and book were similar enough to be relatable but different enough that they didn’t spoil each other. I’m not sure how the others compare but that is probably the best thing I can say about any movie based on a book.
Speaking of action… I just saw the trailer for Shoot ‘Em Up. I must see this movie. Clive Owen and Paul Giamatti doing an action/comedy movie?
Watch the trailer.
Be happy that movies like Big Trouble in Little China still get made purely for entertainment.

Big trouble in little china rocked.
I have yet to watch the other movies you listed, except Bourne Ultimatum. I liked it.
I was just talking to someone yesterday that had the same opinion of Bourne Ultimatum. It was a bit better than I was expecting it to be, and the opening action sequence was one of my favorites.
