Spam or Bacn?

Press Button. Receive Bacon.

A new term which is hopping around the intertubes is “bacn”. It’s pronounce just like bacon.. just not spelled with the “o”. I’m not sure about this particular buzzword. I’m sure of the definition – which I’ll get to in a moment – but rather the spelling. Why not include all the letters? Lame.

Anyways, bacn is the email that isn’t spam but also isn’t important. It’s things like newsletters, MySpace/Facebook/Twitter/Pownce notifications, blog comment responses, forum PMs, etc. It’s the tasty but not filling stuff. So… there it is. Bacn.

Enjoy.

honestly, I attribute new words like this to plain laziness. But that’s just me. I fear for the future of the world.

And holy cow, since when is bacon not important? I think people need to get their words straight. They shouldn’t call bacon anything but important stuff. I mean seriously, bacon makes everything better!
